English 9-10 is a college preparatory course that is required for graduation. This class will provide you with the opportunity to improve your knowledge of literature and develop your skills in reading, writing and speaking.This course includes reading and comprehending a wide variety of literary forms including fiction and nonfiction texts, short stories, novels, poetry, and drama.
In addition, the course will teach grammatical concepts and applications. You will review punctuation, capitalization, spelling, vocabulary, and paragraph development, as well as work on various modes composition, including essays and a research paper. Listening and speaking skills are also developed throughout the course.
